The UniPG Racing Team was founded in 2010 at the University of Perugia with the aim of participating in the international Formula SAE \/ Formula Student competitions, applying engineering, design, and communication skills in a highly educational and competitive environment. Today, the team has around 40 members, divided into the Media & Design, Business, Software & Telemetry, Chassis & Dynamics, and Powertrain departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, the team has designed and developed several Formula Student race cars, making its official debut in 2013 with the RB11.1 at the Formula SAE Italy competition in Varano De\u2019 Melegari. This was followed by the development of the RB11.2, RB17, and RB18 prototypes, up to the RB18 Evo, with which the team participated in 2018 in the Catalan GP at the Montmel\u00f3 circuit in Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team began developing a new full-electric race car, marking the start of a new phase of the project in line with the evolution of the automotive industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, the UniPG Racing Team officially returned to competition for the first time since 2018, taking part in Formula SAE Italy with the RB24 prototype and achieving a satisfactory ranking. This return to the track represented an important milestone, resulting from the commitment of the entire team to bringing the project back to an internationally competitive level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, the team once again participated in the Formula SAE competition in Varano De\u2019 Melegari with its electric prototype project, achieving another excellent result and further strengthening its presence in the international Formula SAE environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team\u2019s current goal is to continue developing an increasingly competitive race car, enhancing multidisciplinary collaboration and the technical and professional growth of its members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
